Ways of Being #3
2024, Acrylic, pastel, graphite, collage on synthetic non-woven paper mounted on cradled board, 21.5×17.25×2.5” Framed.
In both the studio and the kitchen, I continue to explore the concept and materiality of tears, subsequently, working with onions in a handmade paper process called vegetable papyrus.
Actual onions and the imprints left on paper after cooking and pressing between parchment sheets, collaged into Ways of Being #3, offer new perspectives on the biological and emotional responses humans have to various triggers.
