This painting is from my Walks thru Life: Shoe Portraits Series. Function, fashion, or fetish, what we put on our feet can say alot about who we are.
I bought this pair of shoes for the Art of Survival inaugural event several years ago in Long Branch, NJ. I found a really beautiful outfit to wear and fell in love with these shoes which were a bit of a stretch for my budget. I remember feeling guilty about spending the money and carried them around with me in a bag with the receipt as I continued to look for the another pair of shoes. However, I loved the sleek lines of the shoe, beautiful color ,texture and sexy heel and nothing I found was in their league.In the end, I kept them.
I still love them and learned two things: You get what you pay for and I’m worth it!
