She was not sure what idea she wished to express but the thought that a poetic moment had touched upon her took life within her like an infant hope. She stepped onward bravely.   James Joyce.

I took a little liberty with Joyce’s quote, making it gender appropriate, but I love the sentiment.

Often I don’t know what it is exactly I want to express, but as a visual artist, I have learned to trust that infant hope and embark on the unknowing, giving form to thought, feelings and often just an inkling of an idea. Above all, my work is a celebration of this beautiful broken world. It gives me hope to create and to find the connections between seemingly unrelated things.

Poetic Moment will be part of my upcoming exhibition titled Ebb & Flow at Gallery 37: Destination for Artful Living in Historic Milford, Delaware. The Artist Reception is Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 3-5 pm.
