I am interested in what gets passed down genetically, socially, historically, as well as what we find and keep, what we leave behind, and how this continues to shape our identity. Balancing art and family, genetic breast cancer, my grandmother’s silverware, women's work, and coming to terms with the aging process, are subjects that have been, and continue to be in my work. Handmade paper, old books, and found objects are layered together to navigate new understanding and territory. The line between past and present continues to be negotiated.
